Did you know that dark circles under the eyes could be related to liver and kidney problems? And, that is why there aren't really any cosmetic ways of treating this particular irritant. Chemical peels, laser therapy and big time expensive dermatological treatments won't do any good either. So, switch to natural remedies and a healthier lifestyle.

- The holistic approach would be to shift to high fiber, low fat foods and completely eliminate causative foods.
- Cut down on salt and sugar, too. Instead, opt for a diet rich in Vitamin K and iron.
- Consume complex carbohydrates, broiled fish, raw vegetables, and juices. You could add - parsley, mint, lemon, water plantain, saffron, and cardamom to your diet and try out cranberry, blueberry and juniper berry juices, if possible. Regular intake of chamomile and Vitamin E also reduces the severity of dark circles.
- Above everything else, drink enough fluids and sleep well.

- Puffiness: You could definitely use teabags under the eyes for temporary relief from puffy eyes.
- But to erase those dark circles, you could try this paste made of one teaspoon flour, one teaspoon milk, a pinch of sugar, 1/4th spoon honey and the juice of half a lemon. Just apply this on your face, and let it dry. Once it is completely dry, rub it off slowly, having wet your hands. See if this makes a difference!
- Or, try this one – Take a teaspoon of tomato juice, a few drops of lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric and a little flour. Make a paste and rub it on. Just wash it off once it has completely dried.
