Ingredients
- 10 leaves of a medium-size cabbage
- 250 gm. of boiled vegetables - finely chopped carrots, lima beans, green peas, cauliflower, beans
- 2-3 chopped green chillies
- 1 medium-sized finely chopped onion
- 10 ml. extra-virgin olive oil
- About 125 ml of tomato puree
- 25 gm. of grated mozarella cheese
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Boil the cabbage leaves for a couple of minutes. Remove the water.
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan
- Stir fry the chopped onion for about 1-2 minutes
- Add the chopped green chillies and continue frying for a few seconds
- Add the boiled vegetables to the pan
- Sprinkle the salt and crushed pepper
- Continue cooking for 2 more minutes. Your filling is now ready.
- Take a tablespoon of vegetable filling prepared and place it on each cabbage leaf.
- Add 1 teaspoon of the tomato puree on top.
- Roll up the leaf and place on a greased baking dish.
- Boil the remaining tomato puree and pour over the 10 rolls.
- Sprinkle grated mozarella cheese on top.
- Bake for about 8 minutes in an oven pre-heated to about 225 degrees F.
