Ah! The woes of dry skin! Skin that constantly needs to be watered - to say the least. The skin loses its natural moisturizers as it ages or even as it comes in contact with the wind and the sun, on a day to day basis.
Here are 5 tips that will help you ward off dry skin.

The first and the best solution in this case, would be to hydrate the skin by working on it from the inside out. The magic word is – Water! Try to drink as much water as possible. You’ve heard this one, I guess. And you could add a bit of lime to water or some lemon juice, whenever possible.
You could humidify the air around you. Get a humidifier and keep it clean on a regular basis.
You could have a bath with lukewarm water but avoid hot, steamy showers as they dry up the skin even more.
Instead of soap, use hydrating soap-less cleanser, such as Cetaphil, or you could try unscented body oil. While toweling off, let the moisture from your bath soak into your skin and then immediately apply body oil or a moisturizer. This will help retain the moisture in your skin, and thereby, avoid making the skin appear dry and listless. If your moisturizer contains vitamin A, E and D, it would be wonderful.
