MONTERREY, Mexico (AFP) - A 10-year-old Mexican boy called Diego glued his hand to a bed to avoid going back to school after the Christmas break. The boy told authorities “I thought if I was glued to the bed, they couldn't make me go to school. I didn't want to go, the holidays were so much fun."
Apparently his mother had bought some industrial-strength glue, which he used to stick his hand to the bed's metal headboard. So, he stayed stuck for two over hours.
His mother Sandra Palacios called paramedics and police to help after her efforts to free him failed. Eventually, a spray was used to dissolve the chemical adhesive.
Diego watched cartoons during the time the paramedics worked to unglue him. Diego eventually made it school albeit a few hours late.
