Channel 4 in UK has come under intense attack for allowing racist bullying to go on unabated on its reality show. The channel appears to have turned a blind eye to the despicable behavior of some of the housemates of the show towards Shilpa Shetty, renowned Bollywood actress and fellow housemate.
Shilpa on the show has been cursed, slurred and ridiculed mercilessly. The levels to which these British 'celebrities' have stooped is shocking to say the least! And, all this when they know they are all under the scrutiny of cameras 24x7!!
The abuse Shilpa has received includes 'being called a dog', 'asked to go back to her Bombay slums', 'called an annoying bitch', 'a f***ing loser', 'Shilpa poppadom (a slur)' etc. In all fairness, Shilpa has tolerated the torment meted out with elan, grace, dignity and maturity.
