Ingredients

 

  1. 6 cups thin-sliced, cored, peeled apples (about 5 large)
  2. 1/4 cup apple juice concentrate
  3. 1 tablespoon Sucralose (marketed with the Splenda brand name)
  4. 2 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
  5. ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  6. ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  7. A pinch of salt
  8. Optional: ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  9. A teaspoon of milk
  10. ¼ teaspoon of sugar
  11. 2 unbaked pie-crust shells

Directions

 

  1. Set the first pie-crust shell into a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the first seven (optionally eight) ingredients and let stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Pour apple mixture into the pie crust.
  4. Cover with the second unbaked pie-crust shell
  5. Brush the top with milk and sprinkle the sugar on top
  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees Fahrenheit oven for about 50-60 minutes or until apples are tender.
  7. Chill the pie before serving. You may also serve the pie warm.
