There were about 78 mainstream Bollywood movies released in 2006. Eleven (or 1 in 7) of these were remakes of earlier films. The list of these movies are in the table below.
Has Bollywood run out of new concepts and creative ideas for its movies? Or, is the 'get rich quick' approach of song 'remixes' now being applied to movie 'remakes'? I guess it is high time we renamed Bollywood as Copywood!
