Okay her answer was gibberish! It was a pressure-cooker moment and she just blew it. But, should the media ridicule a 16-year old's response and cause so much embarassment to her? Should people derive so much pleasure from another fellow-being's agony? If the people laughing at her were to be put into the same situation they will probably fare no better!
