Data life cycle management is a key player in organizations for data control and compliance management. A good option would be to go for storage platforms that support the data life cycle. To avoid constant provisioning and adjusting of capacity it is necessary to have sufficient capacity for peak amount of data that the platform will handle over a period of time. A storage array that supports enterprise data management can also provide a means of pooling capacity across tiers and applications. These storages are cost effective and give out optimal performance.

Constant accounting scandals and security fraud are reasons for the growing need for regulatory compliance software. Continuous monitoring of customer transaction data to identify, prevent and mitigate identity thefts in large mainframe databases, which are mostly the largest and critical data stores, will be an added advantage. Compliance software can also identify unwarranted activity on critical customer information. DB2 tools that support critical DB2 functions like DB2 bind and rebind are also essential to maintain data integrity and comply with regulatory rules.
