Yes, sugar is bad for the system. And, why is that?
That’s because this white crystalline substance is unnatural. It is produced from sugar cane or sugar beets. Beets or cane is refined down to pure sucrose after being stripped off of all its vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes and any other beneficial nutrients.
Therefore, it is of no value to the human body. Moreover, it is a highly addictive substance! Yes! You know how hung one can be on a little sugar now and then?
But nutritionists keep pointing out that it is even more dangerous than you can imagine because sugar is a pure chemical. It is processed to the core and contains nothing of substance. Its damage process is slow and insidious. It takes years before it totally ruins one’s pancreas and one’s adrenal glands, and it throws the endocrine system completely out of gear and ruins the internal organs.
Sorry to scare you like this. But then the statistics for America’s sugar intake are rather alarming. An average American is said to consume about 170 pounds of sugar a year which is about one full cup of this white poison every day and that’s just the basic intake.
So, all you good people, cut the sugar out or switch to fructose or brown unprocessed sugar, if possible.
In any case, you can get all the good sugar from your fresh fruit, vegetables, low fat milk and soy milk. Half a spoon of honey once a week is fine, so are a few raisins.
But I implore you to say 'no' to those big dollops of sugar, candy, colas and soda and even fruit juices. Chuck all those goodies out and start living a sugarless but sweet life.
