Every company has huge chunks of data stored in their database. The trouble starts when the database gets overloaded with excessive data. This not only slows down the application (thereby increasing the maintenance cost) but also affects the performance of the company. All this calls for an effective enterprise data management.  

Effective data management means not just the management of excessive data which can be done by archiving those that are no more relevant and thereby restoring the application’s performance but also involves protecting the data from getting into the wrong hands. All companies, however big or small, have sensitive information stored in their database, which are sometimes shared with others. Now hacking being a growing nightmare among enterprises, the sensitive information needs to be secured from hackers. Therefore database auditing is a must as it not only protects the critical data but also keeps a tab on those who are up to any mischief.  

But since hacking has become so rampant these days several statutory and regulatory bodies have come up with policies so as to prevent security threats. And all the organizations have no other choice but to comply with these regulations which is possible with regulatory compliance software
