These are the seemingly unbreakable world records of track and field for two reasons. One they have stood the test of time for a long time. Two, competition being as fierce as it is, you would expect the difference between the best and the next best to be extremely marginal.
So, it is remarkable that the difference between in each of these track and field events is so substantial. Hence it is highly improbable that the records will be broken. But, then in sports you never say never!
