Amino acids are organic chemicals containing carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen. They constitute the primary structure of proteins and are essential for human growth and development. Most of them are consumed naturally and supplementation with commercial alternatives is normally unnecessary. Nucleic acids are also organic chemicals containing sugars, purines, phosphoric acid and pyramidine bases. They are present in our body. Usefulness of nucleic acid supplements is questionable. They can be downright dangerous when taken as injections.
