Eyes are the window to one’s soul. Applying just the eyeliner for a striking natural look focuses attention on these beauties.

The eyeliner can be applied to the bare eyelid or after putting on the eye shadow but must be as close to the lash as possible. Close your eyes to half mast and tilt your chin up to be able to see what you are doing in the mirror. On the top lid spread the liner from the point from the inner corner towards the outer corner.

For a dramatic effect you can widen and lengthen the line from the centre of your eye towards the outer corner. Appling a thin line on the bottom lid from the outer corner towards the inner one and using a pencil liner on the inner rims creates a vivid impression.

Using the liquid eyeliner is tricky as it needs to be applied in one stroke. The sponge applicator is easier to handle. If you dust your eyelids with facial powder or have used a non metallic eye shadow then the application is easier. Do not open your eyes till the liner has dried. I recommend soft strokes with a hard eye pencil instead.

To create a softer look, smudge the eyeliner a bit with powder. This effect can be achieved easily using only a soft eye pencil. However, its wax while spreading color easily can create a messy look if combined with an oily skin or creamy shadows.

Do remember that the smaller the eye, the lines should be intense but thin. Also eyeliner on the bottom lid meeting the inner corner and the lines of the top lid and the bottom lid meeting at the outer corner make the eye seem smaller.
